Launch Celebration

(Past Event) Fri 12 Dec 2025
Nimbin Community Centre
6:30pm

Please join us on Friday, December 12, 5-6.30pm for the Aquarius Archives end of year celebration, at the Nimbin Community Centre. A big thank you to everyone who’s contributed to our first year in all ways, big and small. It’s a chance to reflect on our amazing achievements in the exhibition space in the hallway, and to share some ideas for the year to come.

This celebration marks our official opening to donations from the public. We’ve kind of, almost, mostly already begun accepting donations. But we’ve never made an official announcement or launch, so this is the moment we’ve been waiting for. In the long term, it’s best to make sure our paperwork is well looked after. So, we ask all donors to please sign a donations agreement and review our collections policy, which you can find at aquariusarchives.org.au.

In honour of this auspicious occasion, we share our new logo by artist Franca Wolfe. Franca’s wonderful artwork can be found throughout the community archives since the 80s. Franca is a star weekly volunteer at the archives, who contributes a wealth of local knowledge and deep care for the community and people’s stories.

We acknowledge the Widjabul Wia-bal People of the Bundjalung Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. We pay our respects to Bundjalung Elders past and present, who look after Bundjalung Country and stories here since time before memory. Always was, always will be Bundjalung Country.
